Position Details

  • Location: Clearwater, FL (Hybrid)
  • Status: Full Time, Salaried
  • Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The Manager System Communications:

  • Serves as an editorial leader to support teamwide content development to align with System priorities, message platforms and mixternal audiences in support of BayCare's reputational and operational needs.
  • Supervises a team of content creators and serves as a matrixed leader, supporting disciplined, consistent content that adheres to best practices.
  • Charged with understanding mixternal needs and providing guidance and support to ensure BayCare's content and storytelling adapts to audience and amplification strategies, including collaboration with Marketing and other support services when needed for unified brand consistency.
  • Serves as a valued consultant to operational leaders for crisis and issue management, including key support for operational needs during hurricane season.
  • Works to protect the System's reputation, collectively and as individual entities, and to support the goodwill toward the System.
  • Collaborates with Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Social Media teams to integrate data-driven communications and multi-channel outreach that support strategic direction across the enterprise.
  • Ensures compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field

Preferred Education

  • Master's degree in Communications or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in one of the following areas:
  • Public Relations
  • Journalism
  • Communications

Preferred Experience

  • 3 years of experience in a healthcare-related field
