Manager, Technical Accounting & Transactions
North of Boston, MA (Hybrid)

A leading publicly traded global investment management firm is seeking a Manager, Technical Accounting & Transactions to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this is a high-visibility role within a collaborative, partnership-driven organization.
This firm partners with independent investment managers globally and operates with a lean, entrepreneurial culture where team members have meaningful impact and cross-functional exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate accounting implications of transactions with existing and prospective partner firms

  • Advise senior leadership on technical accounting matters and emerging regulatory developments

  • Interpret and implement new accounting guidance (FASB, SEC, IASB, PCAOB)

  • Determine accounting treatment for complex areas including:

    • Business combinations

    • Non-controlling interests and equity incentives

    • Equity method investments

    • Partnership and LLC economic sharing arrangements

    • Capital planning transactions, including derivatives

  • Partner with external auditors to support efficient audit processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • CPA strongly preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive experience with significant technical accounting exposure

  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred
