The Team
The Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) is a subsidiary of A&M, an established leader in providing global leadership and advisory services to a variety of diverse industries. TAG professionals specialize largely in providing financial and accounting buy-side and sell-side due diligence, capital markets, and accounting advisory, global transaction analytics, environmental, technical & sustainability (ETS) advisory, and other related M&A services for private equity, hedge funds, sovereign wealth, family office, and corporate clients around the world.
A&Ms Transaction Advisory Group has an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Nashville, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Manager to bring their energy, passion, and expertise to help our clients get the answers they need to get the deal done. We provide private equity and corporate clients with buy-side and sell-side financial accounting due diligence.
Responsibilities
As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with our highly motivated and effective team of professionals on a variety of interesting projects across different industries, including but not limited to manufacturing, distribution, consumer retail, restaurants, business and industrial services, and healthcare, software & technology, energy, and financial services.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Counseling and mentoring Associates and Senior Associates • Managing and prioritizing team responsibilities and proactively consulting with Managing Directors and senior members of the team as appropriate • Maintaining and updating the budget and fee analysis as appropriate • Managing multiple chargeable and non-chargeable projects of varying size and complexity • Reviewing and evaluating project data books prepared by team members • Generating a full due diligence report • Leading the Quality of Earnings P&L and Working Capital analyses • Communicating regularly with clients regarding engagement matters, such as billing status updates, preparation of scope of procedures, scope changes, request lists • Effectively managing day-to-day client interaction and relationships • Developing and proposing creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks and effectively managing problem resolution • Proactively recruiting, training, and developing Associate and Senior Associates, including teaching training classes as applicable • Gathering applicable conflict check information and coordinating with Managing Directors to set up engagement codes and other engagement requirements • Assisting Managing Directors and Senior Director in sales and business development efforts
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
• A minimum of 5-8 years of audit and financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting and/or related major • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining one • Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Strong project management skills • Flexibility to work as both a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor • Ability to thrive and be effective in fast-paced settings

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary is $160,000 annually, dependent on several variables, including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program, which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings fringe benefits, consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life AD&D and disability coverages, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal.
