Salary range is $95k to $191k, with a midpoint of $143k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Under direction from the Deputy Director of Transportation Safety and Security, plans, manages, develops, and oversees the implementation of the transportation safety and security program for transit projects from planning through operations. Manages transportation safety and security staff and provides support to the Director and/or Deputy Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Safety, Security Management, Engineering, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Transportation, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field with five years of experience in transportation safety, system safety, physical security, security systems, hazard management, safety assurance, rail or transit operations, capital project delivery, or closely related discipline; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or complex safety/security programs preferred. Public transit or public agency experience preferred.
