Vista Equity Partners is seeking to hire a Manager to support the valuation function for Vista's private equity investments. The manager will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of quarterly and monthly valuations. Successful candidates will have a strong foundation in generally accepted valuation approaches and a solid understanding of private equity funds and strategies. This is a high-visibility, high-accountability role that requires thriving under tight deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, are also critical, as the Manager will regularly engage with colleagues across the Finance team and the broader firm, including firm leaders, investment professionals, and Investor Relations as well as external service providers.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the quarterly valuation process for private equity investments by working closely with investment professionals, external valuation providers and internal stakeholders
Perform detailed reviews of internal models for integrity and consistency with valuation policies and procedures
Participate in the quarterly Private Equity valuation process, which includes engagement with senior executives
Create presentation materials for internal and external meetings
Provide technical leadership on complex valuation topics
Contribute to valuation policies and procedures and recommend enhancements in line with best practices
Perform various performance metrics, including IRR, MOIC and ad-hoc portfolio analysis
Interface with investor relation team on investor reporting or marketing materials related to valuation
Contribute to process and technology initiatives to streamline valuation and performance reporting
Qualifications
Undergraduate BS or BA, or a Graduate MS or MBA degree in Finance or Accounting
5+ years of valuation related work experience
CFA and/or CPA preferred but not required
Previous managerial experience including team leadership, development and resource planning
Strong oral and written communication skills including strong presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and across an organization
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work product
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $140,000-182,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
