THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Manager Wellness will support the growth and operations of the Wellness business, developing and  executing strategies and tactics across the category. This role is ideal for a growing leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, interested playing a critical role in managing cross-functional work to drive strong business impact. The Manager Wellness will identify, evaluate and execute new growth opportunities, will support problem solving and opportunity evaluation, perform strategic and financial analyses, create business cases and execute efforts to deliver strategic opportunities with excellence. Because this work requires close partnership with cross-functional teams and leaders, this individual will also support facilitation and alignment to key strategic decisions. This role will need to be comfortable with ambiguity, and able to frame approaches to decipher the way forward and deliver recommendations to address key business issues.

 

The Manager will report to the Director Wellness, within Enterprise Strategy & New Growth organization. The role will partner closely with peers in the merchandising organization, along with other key peers and leaders across the business. This role will have visibility to senior leadership across functions.

 

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

Manages day-to-day execution in alignment with the overall Wellness strategy; advances strategic and analytical analyses; partners closely with Wellness leadership and cross-functional peers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Wellness Growth Strategy: Support and advance Wellness go-to-market strategy; conduct market and consumer research to identify strategies across customers, competitive positioning and pricing; build business cases & operating models to support Wellness scalability and profitability; measure KPIs for sales growth, market penetration and awareness; be able to deliver high quality work in ways that clearly communicate ideas and thinking to the organization
  • Brand Building & Customer Experience: Support execution of brand identity and marketing strategy, with peers, that differentiates the business in the market; partner to execute in-store experience that aligns with brand values and consumer insights; partner to deliver and measure and elevated digital experience to create a seamless shopping experience
  • Retail Operations & Financial Management: Work cross-functionally to support and analyze store growth and design; develop and help to oversee budgets, P&L and financial forecasts to drive profitability through discrete analysis and modeling
  • External Growth & Partnership Opportunities: Identify white space opportunities and develop approaches and analysis to address them; understand market dynamics and help to monitor competitive landscape
  • Team Leadership, Culture & Development: Bring a can-do, positive attitude; be comfortable with addressing ambiguity by driving analysis forward and bringing initial thinking to the table; possess a strategic mindset; be a team player; demonstrate ability to communicate across levels of the organization
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Wellness leadership and peers across the organization; facilitate and support discussions with Ulta Beauty’s senior leadership, demonstrating subject matter expertise and ability to move work forward effectively

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 5-7 years of experience in retail environments, including strategy, finance, and/or management consulting
  • Wellness experience a plus, preference for consumer-facing Retail experience in Beauty, Fashion or Apparel
  • BA/BS required and MBA from top-tier program preferred
  • Strategic, analytical, and conceptual problem solver with the ability to look into the details and interpret the impact of key business drivers, detect patterns and trends across disparate sources of data, creatively analyze unfamiliar problems and synthesize the ‘so what’s’
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to turn ambiguity into action
  • Financially savvy and analytical, ability to gather, understand and analyze data and performance metrics essential to building a business/category within the growing and constantly changing landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, leveraging interpersonal skills, problem solving and decision-making ability to quickly influence, establish relationships, gain credibility and trust with all audience levels
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to style-flex your approach based on the needs of the internal and external stakeholders

 : The pay range for this position is $102,900.00 - $174,700.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
