Job Description

Ziggi’s Coffee is a fast-growing specialty drive-thru coffee franchise with more than 120 locations. With a focus on providing our customers with a variety of uniquely handcrafted beverages and on-the-go food options, we are committed to giving them a first-rate experience every time they visit Ziggi’s. Quality is at the heart of everything we stand for, and we will always strive to provide the very best to our communities. Nationally recognized on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500®, we are a fast-growing company that continues to promote valuable growth and development opportunities. Our team members share a positive attitude, passion, and drive to create a collaborative work environment. Now you have the opportunity to join our team and excel professionally as our Manager, Z-Wagon.

The Z-Wagon is Ziggi’s beverage trailer. It brings the Ziggi’s menu to festivals, corporate events, school functions, youth sports tournaments, weddings, and community events across Northern Colorado and the Front Range. The Manager, Z-Wagon owns the program end to end: selling and booking events, managing the calendar, working the window, caring for the trailer, and documenting how it all works so it can be repeated.

As Ziggi’s franchisees begin to launch mobile units of their own, the processes, checklists, event pricing, and labor model created on the Z-Wagon will become a starting point for mobile operations across the system. This is a hands-on, working manager role. You sell the events, lead them in person, and keep the trailer, the calendar, and the numbers running, with a focus on a clean setup, a busy window, and a repeatable playbook.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Event sales and booking. Build a steady pipeline of events: corporate offices, schools and districts, churches, HOAs and neighborhoods, youth sports, festivals, farmers markets, weddings, private parties, grand openings, and job sites. Prospect for new events and respond to every inbound inquiry within one business day.
  • Quoting, pricing, and agreements. Quote events, send agreements, collect deposits, and confirm every detail with the organizer before event day. Price events to make money, using the right structure for each one: guaranteed minimums, prepaid drink packages, flat-rate catering, or pay-per-cup. Operating within pricing and approved guidelines set by owners and escalate non-standard agreements for approval.
  • Calendar and repeat business. Keep the event calendar and contact list current, filling weekdays and the off-season, not just summer Saturdays. Turn every good event into the next one by asking for the rebook, the referral, and the review, and treat repeat organizers like regulars.
  • Event leadership and service. Lead every event you work, from setup through service and breakdown. Make drinks to Ziggi’s recipe and quality standards, keep the line moving, and be the face of Ziggi’s with organizers and guests, solving problems on the spot.
  • Event crew. Schedule event crew, brief them before each event, and send a recap after it.
  • Cash handling and reporting. Handle cash and card sales, the POS, closeouts, deposits, and tip reporting according tocompany policy.
  • Trailer operations. Tow, park, level, and set up the trailer safely. Own inventory, ordering, prep, ice, fresh and waste water, power and generator, and cleaning. Keep the Z Wagon looking like Ziggi’s: clean, stocked, wrap in good shape, and signage correct.
  • Maintenance, permits, and compliance. Keep up preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs for tires, hitch, lights, brakes, refrigeration, and beverage equipment. Manage permits and compliance, including county health mobile permits, temporary event permits, fire inspections, commissary requirements, and certificates of insurance for organizers.
  • Menu feedback. Work with HQ Operations to understand what is working with the menu in a mobile setting and provide ongoing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Event performance tracking. Track net sales, drinks sold, labor hours, cost of goods, and tips on every event. Use the results to decide which events are worth booking again.
  • Playbook and SOPs. Write and maintain the SOPs for the business: event intake and booking, quoting and pricing, pre-event checklist, load-out, setup, service, breakdown, closing, cash handling, cleaning and sanitation, maintenance, towing safety, and weather and emergency plans. Turn what you learn into tools such as checklists, quote and agreement templates, and training material for future mobile crews and franchisees, and work with the HQ Operations and Training teams as the playbook rolls out to the system.
  • Cross-functional partnership. Partner with HQ teams and franchisees as the program grows, with Z-Wagon events coordinated with nearby stores.
  • Brand and content. Represent the Ziggi’s brand at every event. Capture event photos and content and follow brand and social guidelines so the Z-Wagon stays on-brand.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Events booked and calendar fill, including weekdays and winter months
  • Net sales and profit per event against plan
  • Labor hours and cost of goods per event
  • Rebook and referral rate, and organizer and guest reviews
  • Clean health inspections and no preventable equipment failures
  • A complete written playbook that another person could run the business from

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sales experience: comfortable picking up the phone, sending the follow-up, and walking into a business to ask for the event.
  • Barista experience, or the ability to learn Ziggi’s recipes quickly and make them well under pressure.
  • Strong organization and clear writing: you can turn how you do something into steps anyone can follow.
  • Comfort with technology, including POS, scheduling apps, Microsoft or Google tools, a CRM or booking system, and AI tools.
  • Mechanically handy and comfortable towing.
  • Initiative: you show up early, ask what else needs doing, and don’t need to be told the trailer needs washing.
  • Resilience and a bias for action: when the generator quits, it’s 30 degrees, and the line is 40 deep, you find a way and keep making great drinks. You can hear “no” on an idea and keep pushing the business forward.
  • Relationship builder: organizers book people, not trailers. You remember names, events, and what went well last year.
  • Ownership and humility: when something goes wrong, you fix it and write down how to keep it from happening again, and you listen to your crew and organizers, because the best SOP ideas usually come from the person working the window.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in coffee, restaurant, catering, food truck, or event operations, including leading a crew.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets our insurance requirements. Trailer towing experience preferred; we will train the right person.
  • Available early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Event season is busy.
  • Food handler certification within 30 days of hire. ServSafe Manager certification preferred.
  • Reliable phone and transportation, and based within a reasonable drive of Mead, Colorado.
  • Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Pay Range: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Tips on the events you work
  • Hourly, non-exempt position, eligible for overtime
  • Paid time off, including Colorado paid sick leave
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Health insurance
  • Colorado FAMLI paid family and medical leave

PERKS

  • The chance to build a program from the ground up, with the systems you document helping shape how mobile units operate across the Ziggi’s brand.
  • Direct work with ownership on how the mobile business grows.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is frequently required to stand for long shifts, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms, and occasionally to climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance, such as inventory, ice, and trailer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
