    Description

    Who We Are

    Our client is a well-established and growing Civil Engineering and Construction Management firm with offices throughout the west coast.  They provides a full array of engineering, public works design and construction and project management services.

    The Opportunity

    We are looking for a Managing Engineer with a minimum of 12 or more years of experience. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is a dependable and adaptable civil engineering professional, capable of marketing and winning work, leading a team, and carrying out managerial duties to staff. Experience in client management and sales is a plus. They demonstrate strong organizational, leadership and communication skills, can work independently while thriving in a team environment, and are personable and professional in their demeanor.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervises the work of Staff Engineers including serving as Engineer of Record
    • Prepares proposals and contracts, renderings and collecting bills, job performance and serving as the firm's responsible contact with specific clients
    • Works to ensure projects are profitable and on schedule and meet the requirements of our clients
    • Mentoring and supporting staff
    • Maintain client relationships and identify new project leads

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
    • Minimum 12 or more years of demonstrated design and management experience
    • California PE License required
    • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients
    • Self-motivated and goal oriented, with strong attention to detail
    • Solid experience with the MS Office Suite
