Location: Tolleson (Phoenix), AZ, 85353(100% onsite)
Duration: 3 Months Contract with no guarantee of extension

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Location: Manufacturing Plant (On site)
This is an on site role within a manufacturing plant environment.

Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Mandarin–English Interpreter to support daily operations within a manufacturing plant environment. This role will provide real time verbal interpretation and written translation between Mandarin and English, enabling clear communication among production, engineering, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate will possess both strong bilingual communication skills and sufficient technical knowledge to accurately translate manufacturing related discussions.

Education and Experience: 

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written), with at least 2 years of experience.
• Prior experience providing interpretation and/or translation services in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technical environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, or technical terminology (e.g., production operations, engineering concepts, safety protocols).
• Ability to interpret complex or technical discussions in real time with accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
• Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Previous experience supporting manufacturing plants, factories, or industrial operations.
• Familiarity with technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or production workflows.
• Formal training or certification in translation or interpretation is a plus.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Provide accurate, real time interpretation between Mandarin and English during meetings, production floor interactions, training sessions, and operational discussions.
• Translate technical manufacturing terminology, process instructions, safety communications, and engineering or production related concepts with clarity and accuracy.
• Support written translation of documents such as work instructions, procedures, training materials, emails, and presentations as needed.
• Facilitate effective communication between Mandarin speaking employees, engineers, operators, and English speaking plant leadership.
• Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality while interpreting sensitive or business critical information.
• Partner closely with operations, engineering, quality, and safety teams to ensure accurate understanding of plant processes and expectations.
