Role Overview

micro1 is engaging Mandarin Transcription Experts to contribute to an AI training project focused on creating accurate, high-quality transcriptions from Mandarin and English audio. Your linguistic expertise will help improve how next-generation AI systems understand spoken language.

No prior AI experience is required—your language and transcription expertise are what matter.

Scope of Work

• Listen to Mandarin and English audio recordings and produce accurate, verbatim transcriptions.
• Review, proofread, and correct transcripts for accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
• Apply required annotations, tags, and contextual notes according to project guidelines.
• Follow transcription standards, formatting requirements, and quality guidelines.
• Identify and resolve unclear speech, accents, overlapping dialogue, and ambiguous content.
• Collaborate remotely with project coordinators on linguistic questions.
• Meet project deadlines and maintain consistent transcription quality.
• Provide linguistic insights to support AI training and speech-language model development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Native or near-native Mandarin fluency with excellent listening and comprehension skills.
• Previous experience in professional Mandarin transcription or audio annotation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate transcripts.
• Experience with transcription or annotation platforms is a plus.
• Ability to independently manage tasks and deadlines in a remote environment.
• Experience working with Mandarin-English bilingual audio is preferred.
• Interest in AI training, speech recognition, and language technology.
