We are seeking dependable and motivated candidates for an entry-level position that offers the opportunity to transition into a future Correctional Officer role.

This position will begin as a hands-on labor role assisting with various county and maintenance duties while gaining experience and exposure to daily operations. Selected candidates may eventually have the opportunity to attend Correctional Officer School in Forsyth, GA through the county.

Responsibilities

• Ride along with a detail officer and observe daily operations
• Assist with opening pipes and drainage work
• Cut bushes and perform grounds maintenance
• Install signs and assist with general labor tasks
• Support county maintenance and operational projects
• Follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physical labor
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and grow into a correctional officer position
