Set up and operate manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications. Responsible for maintaining quality standards and ensuring all work meets tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual machines for turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and deburring
Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy
Maintain tolerances up to .0005 inches
Identify and report defects or discrepancies
Track work and time in ERP system
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 5 years of manual machining experience
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments
Basic math and trigonometry skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
