Machinists prepare and operate a variety of manual machines (lathe, Bridgeport, grinders), to produce precision parts from various metal & polymer types (Stainless, Carbon, Alum; Cast, Exotics, Delrin, UHMW, Various Plastics) and configurations (Forging, Bar Stock Weldments, Casting, Plate).
All Machines:
Select, set up, remove, and debur all tooling and parts
Responsible for machining and initial inspection of part being made
Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
Responsible for predefined Preventative Maintenance Tasks
Lathe:
Operate a Manual Lathe
Vertical Machining Center:
Operate a Bridgeport Mill
Receipt Inspection
Periodic inspection of vendor received parts

Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
3+ years’ experience as a manual machinist

EDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
