Position Overview
We are looking for a Software Test Engineer (QA) to support delivery of enterprise applications with a strong focus on functional testing and API validation. This is a hands-on QA role, not a pure automation/SDET position. The ideal candidate will bring strong functional testing depth along with the ability to test APIs and system integrations (Swagger, Postman, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own QA activities for assigned projects and enhancements
  • Design and execute manual test cases (functional, integration, regression)
  • Validate end-to-end workflows across systems and services
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI or Postman
  • Create and manage test data and test environments
  • Log, track, and validate defects through resolution
  • Participate in requirements reviews, design sessions, and test planning activities
  • Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and traceability matrices based on business and technical requirements
  • Partner with engineering to improve testability and overall system quality
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and QA best practices

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of QA / Software Testing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in manual functional testing across complex applications
  • Strong background in testing banking, financial services and/or insurance systems
  • Hands on experience with API testing and validation (Swagger, Postman, or similar tools)
  • Experience testing integrated systems and end-to-end workflows
  • Experience developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools
  • Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and Agile environments
  • Strong stakeholder communication & collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Technical aptitude with an understanding of system architecture, data flows and application integrations
  • Experience with backend/data validation (SQL queries)
  • Exposure to light test automation, automation frameworks or scripting
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practices
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Preferred)
  • Experience in fintech and/or software/SaaS product testing is a plus
  • Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, AI-based test generation or test optimization tools) to improve QA efficiency and test coverage

Pay Range: $42.00 – $52.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
Health & Medical Benefits, 401K, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Time applicable by state.
