    Description

    Location: Fairfield, IA
    Shift Schedule: Day Shift | Monday-Friday | (On-site)
    Salary/Rate: $25–$30/hour 
     
    Job Description
    We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. This position requires strong manual dexterity and technical expertise to work with a variety of materials, tools, and machinery used in the production of aluminum molds and steel cutting. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual lathes and mills. CNC machine experience is a plus but is not required. The machinist should be able to work effectively in a team environment while producing high-quality work in a timely manner. 
     
    Key Responsibilities 
    • Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture parts according to specifications. 
    • Operate manual lathes and milling machines to fabricate components. 
    • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to feeds and temperatures as needed. 
    • Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance. 
     
    Required Competencies 
    • Proficiency with measuring instruments including tape measures, micrometers, calipers, rulers, scribes, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). 
    • Knowledge of or experience with Bridgeport EZ-Trak, Autodesk Fusion, or other related CAM software. 
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and precision throughout the machining process. 
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers, mold makers, and other team members.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve machining issues.
     
    Preferred Qualifications 
    • Experience operating manual lathes and milling machines. 
    • CNC machining experience is a plus but not required. 
    • Manufacturing and machining background preferred. 
    Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
