Keltia is a technical support services company providing Engineering Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace and other industries in WA State, around the US, Canada and Europe. We have been in business for 19 years in the US and 7 years in Europe.
Our client is located in the Los Angeles - CA area and is a division of a world leading manufacturer of aerospace products.
They are looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer for an upcoming contract lasting up to 12 months or longer.
Sr Manufacturing Engineer Aerospace - Los Angeles CA area - Oct-2019
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; others may be assigned:
- Responsible for all life cycle of process test and methods of pre-assembly to high level product.
- Determine appropriate test for the efficient flow of products through MFG test.
- Provides training support to floor test technicians and assistants.
- Develop knowledge of test systems and hardware.
- Interpretation of specifications and drawings analyzing and resolve design problems.
- Coordinate and improve in design engineering changes.
- Problem Solving capabilities.
Knowledge:
- Prefer Minimum 3 years in Machining environment (Gear machining is plus)
- Prefer Good understanding of gear design & manufacturing principles - Cylindrical & Bevel gears is plus
- Prefer candidate Proficient with Blueprints, GD & T, PFMEA & APQP, PPAP and Control Plans
- Experience working in AS9100 regulated environments.
- Experience in EPICOR is Prefer
- Knowledge of manufacturing support processes (i.e. inspection, gauging, SPC).
Requirements:
- Must have BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with customer/supplier interaction.
- Experience with Aluminium Brazing is preferred.
- Expert level skills in Solidworks and AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel are a must.
