Manufacturing and Cable Assembly Technician, Bedford, MA area

Job Duties:

Manufacturing and Cable Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

  • Perform box build assembly and box level testing as required.
  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot a variety of electro-mechanical products.
  • Build and test cable assemblies and wire harnesses used in company products.
  • Support engineering with prototype assembly and product development.
  • Collaborate with engineering to implement product and process improvements.
  • Maintain high quality workmanship while following established manufacturing procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build products in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 2 and Class 3 workmanship standards.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform highly detailed assembly work, including work under a microscope or magnification when required.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements for fine assembly tasks.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift materials and equipment as needed.
  • 4 to 6 month initial contract assignment
  • Background check and drug test are required.
  • Pay rate $28.00/hr to $33.00
