Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Manufacturing and Facilities Engineer job near Lock Haven, PA for our client, a dynamic and innovative manufacturer of quality components. This hands-on role will support plant operations by leading facility and capital improvement projects, troubleshooting equipment and automation challenges, and applying advanced manufacturing methods to improve performance. The Manufacturing/Facilities Engineer will partner with maintenance and cross-functional teams to strengthen production and distribution processes, support new product introductions, and drive modernization across areas such as assembly, molding, assembly manufacturing, and material handling. Candidates should have experience in Proficiency with PLC ladder logic, HMI, and SCADA systems.

Our client is offering a salary of up to $85,000 per year plus excellent benefits. A relocation package is available.

Responsibilities for the Manufacturing/Facilities Engineer job near Lock Haven, PA include:
  • Lead facility and capital improvement projects that enhance plant performance, efficiency, and reliability
  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by identifying and resolving equipment, process, and automation issues
  • Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting production equipment and improving system performance
  • Partner with maintenance teams to address recurring equipment challenges and implement long-term solutions
  • Apply advanced manufacturing methods involving automation, conveyor systems, assembly technologies, and material handling improvements
  • Support process development and innovation efforts in areas such as molding, assembly, distribution, and harness manufacturing
  • Contribute to new product introduction and lifecycle management initiatives by helping prepare equipment and processes for successful implementation
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and priorities related to facility, automation, and manufacturing improvements
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement and modernization efforts
  • Support compliance with applicable corporate technology and export control requirements

Qualifications
  • Two-year or four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers
  • Proficiency with PLC ladder logic, HMI, and SCADA systems
  • Hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing or facility support environment is preferred
  • Experience supporting automation, capital equipment, or process improvement projects is preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to equipment and manufacturing systems
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support multiple priorities in a plant environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills
