Manufacturing (Electrical) Assembler
Pay: $21.85/hour
Location: Ballston Spa, NY
Position Type: Contract
 
Our client is looking for a Manufacturing (Electrical) Assembler to produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
 
Physical/Mental Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, and use fingers and hands to use objects, tools, or controls
• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• May be exposed to hot/cold temperatures and loud noises
• Ability to read, understand, speak, and write fluent English

 
Work Environment

• Follow safety instructions and be familiar with the safety manual
• Follow all policies described in the employee handbook
• Maintain and care for all materials and tools provided by the company
• Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates, which may include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays
• May be assigned to work at a client's facility or site for a limited period of time; conditions will vary at each location, and appropriate safety training and equipment will be provided as required

 
Main Tasks

• Assemble electronic and mechanical parts
• Maintain a clean work area
• Follow manufacturing procedures and communicate any possible deviations to the engineer and supervisor
• Execute all quality policies and procedures
• Be aware of the safety manual and follow all safety instructions
• Receive cross-training and work dynamically across multiple projects as required by the supervisor
• Follow all policies described in the employee handbook
• Work overtime if required by the company
• Maintain and care for all goods and tools provided by the company
• Follow clock in/out policy and work order notification procedures in the system
• Help engineering train new assemblers
• Inform supervisors of any accidents in the work area and document them accordingly

 
Necessary Qualifications

• Teamwork skills
• Ability to meet the time required for each assembly once the three-month training period is completed
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
• Positive attitude
• Strong organizational skills
