Manufacturing - Assembler

Title: Assembler
Duration: 12 months (Contract)
Location: East Granby, CT(100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour on W2
Schedule:1st shift - 6AM-2PM

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for assembling and packaging connection kits and controls in accordance with customer orders, work instructions, and quality standards. The role supports accurate fulfillment, product quality, and on-time delivery through safe, consistent execution of assigned manufacturing tasks.

Essential Functions

• Assemble connection kits and controls according to work orders, customer pick slips, and Bills of Material.
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure assemblies meet specifications and quality requirements.
• Package, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment in accordance with procedures.
• Deliver completed orders to the shipping department.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and actively maintain 6S standards to support a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Additional Responsibilities (Non-Essential)

• Restock materials and material bins as inventory is received or consumed.
• Assist with other production or packaging tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to counting and measurements.
• Ability to apply reasoning skills to follow production and technical instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, assembly, or packaging experience.
• Experience working with Bills of Material or work orders.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow standardized processes and quality requirements.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a production team.

Tools, Technology, and Equipment

• Hand tools and power tools.
• Counting scales and measurement devices.
• Production documentation such as work orders or pick slips.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods during the work shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment

• Climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to typical production-floor noise and equipment.

Schedule and Overtime

• Work schedule and shift determined by business needs.
• Overtime may be required.

• Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Must haves

• Must have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience and ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Prior manufacturing, assembly, or packaging experience is preferred, with ability to use hand/power tools.
• Strong attention to detail, basic math/counting skills, quality inspection, and ability to follow standardized processes are required.
• Must follow safety/PPE procedures, maintain a clean 6S work area, work well with a team, and lift up to 40 lbs.
