Job Description

The Assembler is responsible for the precision mechanical construction, hydraulic/pneumatic plumbing, and electrical wiring of industrial actuators according to customized engineering designs and customer specifications. This technical role requires the ability to interpret advanced multi-discipline blueprints, schematic diagrams, and complex wiring layouts to build robust, high-performance equipment. Progression through the position’s compensation structure is directly tied to a rigorous training matrix that validates mastery of specialized skills like advanced tube bending, industrial conduit installation, and technical component integration.

Job Responsibilities

• Construct, fit, and align intricate mechanical components to precise engineering and quality specifications using a wide range of specialized hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision measurement equipment.
• Read, interpret, and execute assembly operations directly from complex mechanical blueprints, customer specific design packets, bills of material, and custom engineering orders.
• Interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to manually measure, flare, and bend fluid lines, progressing to the setup and independent operation of automated computer-controlled tube bending machinery.
• Analyze electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to route complex conduit runs, pull wiring, and perform precise electrical terminations on control panels and actuator sub-assemblies.
• Utilize overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and specialized rigging techniques to safely position, rotate, and transport heavy actuator units and materials throughout the production floor.
• Identify, document, and communicate material or design non-conformances to engineering and quality teams to prevent production delays or product failures.
• Engage actively with the site skills training matrix, demonstrating continuous skill acquisition across multiple assembly disciplines to maintain high cross-functional utility.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce material waste, elevate quality metrics, and champion site safety standards.

Must Haves

• Experience: 1–2 years in mechanical assembly, industrial manufacturing, automotive repair, or heavy equipment production.

• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, fluid power schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.

• Tools & Equipment: Proficiency with industrial measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) and hand/torque tools.

• Physical & Certifications: Capacity to stand for 8 hours, lift up to 35 lbs, and qualify for internal forklift/crane certifications.
