Job Title: Assembler
Location: Tulsa, OK
Duration: 3 months contract
Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $17.50 an hour
Note: OT opportunities available- will start at 4:00am M-F and Saturday dependent on need.
Will need to adhere to all safety guidelines- PPE for hands, eyes, ears, shoes. No jewelry on shop floor. Will need reliable transportation to and from work. Target pay is $17.50 based on YOE

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembler I to support the assembly of precision components and subassemblies used in oil and gas applications. This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities include

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and torque specifications.
• Perform light semi-automatic machine operations such as grinding, sanding, drilling, and gasket cutting.
• Assist in the pressure testing (pneumatic or hydrostatic) of some assemblies in accordance with prescribed engineering specifications and test methods.
• Build final assemblies in conformance with assembly drawings, specifications, procedures, work instructions, and verbal instructions.
• Ensure that all products assembled operate in the manner intended by the assembly drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 0-3 years of assembly experience in an oil & gas or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience working with high-pressure components, valves, fittings, or similar equipment preferred, but not required.
• Familiarity with torque procedures, sealing methods, and precision tolerance preferred, but not required.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing transactions and dealing with part numbers, quantities, locations, weights, etc.
• Knowledge of quality systems and safety standards applicable to oil & gas manufacturing.
• Ability to work cohesively with team members for training purposes and learning opportunities.

• Mechanical assembly experience (0–3+ years), ideally oil & gas/heavy industry
• Ability to read blueprints, BOMs, technical drawings & torque specs
• Hands-on skills: grinding, drilling, sanding, gasket cutting, assembly & pressure testing
• Strong quality, safety, accuracy, mechanical aptitude, especially with valves/fittings/high-pressure components
