Laser Assembler – Medical Device Manufacturing
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Pay: $22 per hour

Position Summary
The Laser Assembler will assemble laser and lamp subsystems, complete systems, and related medical device products. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow engineering documentation, and experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

• 
  Assemble laser and lamp subsystems, complete systems, and related products according to established procedures.
  
• 
  Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, and work instructions.
  
• 
  Use general hand tools, soldering equipment, and calipers to complete precision assembly work.
  
• 
  Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly tasks in accordance with quality standards.
  
• 
  Work within a cleanroom environment while following required procedures and safety protocols.
  
• 
  Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  
• 
  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  
• 
  Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
  
• 
  Assist with other production responsibilities as assigned.
  
• 
  Adapt to changing priorities and support other departments or work areas when needed.
  

Qualifications

• 
  At least two years of related assembly or manufacturing experience.
  
• 
  Previous experience in the medical device industry strongly preferred.
  
• 
  Experience assembling laser or lamp subsystems and complete systems preferred.
  
• 
  Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and detailed work instructions.
  
• 
  Previous cleanroom experience.
  
• 
  Soldering experience required.
  
• 
  Experience using calipers and general hand tools.
  
• 
  Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  
• 
  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  
• 
  Flexibility to perform additional duties as business needs require.
  

Physical Requirements

• 
  Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as many as five times per day with assistance using the buddy system.
  
• 
  Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks and use hand tools throughout the shift.
  
• 
  Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, as required by the position.
