About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Manufacturing Associate II
• Pay Rate: $19.80/hr
• Location: New Brighton, MN
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday–Friday 2:50PM-11PM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire
Requirements and Qualifications:
• 1 + years of Press Operator/ Finisher/Metal Burring experience OR 1 year experience in assembling medical products.
• Must have experience or demonstrate ability to perform all tasks required for the Manufacturing Associate I position.
• Good comprehension of written and verbal instruction and be able to articulate these instructions to others when training.
• Lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Standing while running power equipment.
• Manual dexterity including grasping and pinching.
• 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
• Finger cots & Nitrile gloves maybe required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assembly and Secondary Operations Responsibilities
General Molding and White Room:
• Perform part assemblies with multi-step operations at standard rates.
• Perform complex assembly tasks under the microscope.
• Perform trimming operations as required per work instructions.
• Assembles parts per work instructions.
• Weigh, sort, and package parts per work instructions.
• Perform hand and machine stamping procedures.
• Remove scrap material from molded parts.
• Anneal parts per work instructions.
• Perform part washing operations as required per work instructions.
Precision Components:
• Perform de-burring operations as required per work instructions.
• Perform part washing operations as required per work instructions.
• Weigh, sort, and package parts per work instructions.
• Proper handling of parts possibly smaller than 1/8” by 1/8”.
Machine Operation Responsibilities
General Molding and White Room:
• Operate complex equipment such as but not limited Pneumatic Equipment, Resistance Welder, EFD Dispensers, Bag Sealers, and Swager and Automatic Wire Cutters.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of production equipment and refer equipment problems to Manufacturing Technical Support personnel.
• Operate one or more Injection Molding Presses.
• Operate auxiliary equipment such as but not limited to Sonic Welding Machine, Laser Welder, Pad Printer, Leak Tester, and Auto-bagger.
Precision Components:
• Perform basic troubleshooting of production equipment and refer equipment problems to Manufacturing Technical Support personnel.
• General setup and monitoring of auxiliary equipment such as but not limited to Hone Fixtures, De-burring Machines and medical part Degreasers.
• Operate one or more auxiliary equipment such as but not limited to Hone Fixtures, De-burring Machines, medical part Degreasers.
Inspection Responsibilities:
• Visual inspection and gauging of parts for foreign material and defects per work instructions
• Intermediate level use of microscope and other measurement tools to determine part quality.
• Refer all deficiencies to production support personnel.
Training Responsibilities:
• May be trained by Development on new item numbers during the PQ process so they will be able to cascade the training to other Manufacturing Associates through subsequent PQ runs and ongoing production.
• Provide part-specific training for Manufacturing Associates who are not trained on specific item numbers (ongoing).
General Responsibilities:
• Perform primarily intermediate level production tasks as assigned.
• Follow all Part Specific Work Instructions as written.
• Accurately complete appropriate paperwork and/or enters data into computer.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area per safety manual and Part Specific Work Instructions.
• Responsibility to protect confidential information and Intellectual Property.
• Follow safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
