Job Summary: The Manufacturing Associate II is primarily responsible for manufacturing Vector's Products according to established advanced procedures and documenting all work in production batch records using established good documentation practices. The Manufacturing Associate II will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot standard laboratory equipment according to established procedures, work independently with minimal supervision on assigned tasks. Technical expertise should include strong knowledge of general laboratory safety and practices, knowledge of modern synthetic organic chemistry, multistep synthesis, and purification technique. Responsibilities : Performs multi -step synthesis at milligram to multi gram scale according to established routine and advanced procedures Documents all manufacturing steps as they are performed using good documentation practices Performs the purification of target compounds through column chromatography (including normal and reversed phase, ion -exchange), utilizing both manual and automated techniques Purify volatile organic compounds via vacuum distillation Understands and interprets analytical results (HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, UV -vis, TLC) Performs routine and advanced reagent preparatio n for inventory and finished goods Works with hazardous materials following specified safety precautions including small to medium scale reaction with sodium azide, sodium hydride, lithium aluminum hydride, DIBAL -H, n-butyl lithium and/or similar metalorga nic reagents Performs sulfonation reaction using fuming sulfuric acid (up to 35% of SO3@H2SO4) Reduce organic azides using Shaker hydrogenation apparatus and 5% Pd at charcoal Assists in bottling and kit packing as needed Performs in -process testing as req uired Maintains a clean, orderly and safe laboratory environment following health and safety guidelines Performs other duties as assigned Employee Job Description Vector Laboratory Associate I Job Description updated: May 2026 Job Qualifications ( Experience, Education, Knowledge, and Skills) : BS or BA degree in Chemistry .
