The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Manufacturing Associate for a prominent client of ours. This position is in Newbury Park, CA 91320. Details of the position are as follows: 

 

Job Description:

  • Pay: $28.26/hr - $29.23/hr based on experience.
  • 6-month assignment with the possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
  • Swing Shift: Sunday – Wednesday, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
  • Execute manufacturing processes while strictly adhering to cGMP, GDP, environmental health and safety guidelines, and all applicable regulations.
  • Clean, set up, operate, and tear down manufacturing equipment including tanks, filtration systems, and production equipment.
  • Perform room sanitization and maintain equipment in GMP-compliant condition.
  • Complete manufacturing documentation and batch records following GDP/GMP guidelines.
  • Prepare media and buffer solutions and perform sampling using aseptic techniques.
  • Operate production equipment such as pH meters, conductivity meters, autoclaves, and portable mixers.
  • Monitor, record, and document critical process parameters.
  • Receive and distribute production supplies and materials as needed.
  • Support document control activities, work order generation, and process/equipment validation efforts.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and identify appropriate corrective actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment.
  • Work in controlled cleanroom environments requiring strict gowning procedures and PPE.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and support teams to ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as business needs require.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of related experience OR an AA Degree with 2+ years of related experience OR a Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Prior experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must have knowledge of cGMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Must be willing and able to wear required PPE and follow gowning requirements, including protective clothing covering the head, face, hands, feet, and body.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Experience with aseptic techniques and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of microbiology, chemistry, sterility, or lyophilization.
  • Experience operating laboratory or pharmaceutical production equipment such as autoclaves, process tanks, incubators, pH meters, and conductivity meters.
  • Experience with batch record documentation, validation activities, and process troubleshooting.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement experience.

Working Environment:

  • Controlled cleanroom environment requiring special gowning and PPE.
  • No makeup, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails permitted in manufacturing areas.
  • Frequent interaction with team members in a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
  • Pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
