Manufacturing Associates Needed $18 an hour
We are currently seeking Manufacturing Associates for a contract position in Leetonia, Ohio. Hours: 3rd Shift, 8:00 PM 6:00 AM, Monday through Thursday
Pay: $18 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Repeatedly lift aluminum up to 40 feet long and weighing up to 75 pounds from baskets to the packing conveyor
Gather materials needed for framing bundles such as tape, stretch wrap, cardboard, paper, and banding
Visually inspect metal during bundling for defects like burrs, scratches, chips, gouges, dents, bubbles, or die lines, ensuring quality standards are met
Assemble bundles according to foremans instructions using appropriate packing materials
Assist with or operate the cut-back saw station and act as saw helper at the press
Lift metal from racks and return it after cutting
Record daily piece counts or weight counts
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including housekeeping of the shipping area
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures or rulers
Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Nice to Have Skills:
Measuring tape familiarity
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Other Requirements:
Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
