Job TitleInfluence plant performance, safety, reliability, and operational efficiencyJob DescriptionSupport the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of new automation and process equipment. Drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency, quality, reliability, and operational safety through automation solutions. Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, controls, PLC, and HMI-related issues to minimize downtime. Collaborate with maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors to resolve equipment and process challenges. Provide technical support during equipment startups, shutdowns, process upsets, and abnormal operating conditions. Implement safety initiatives and proactively identify opportunities to reduce operational risk. Support Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, including Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and Mechanical Integrity activities. Participate in process hazard reviews and help deploy controls and safeguards for manufacturing operations. Lead root cause investigations and implement long-term corrective actions. Ensure compliance with electrical standards, hazardous location requirements, and internal safety procedures. Develop and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, loop diagrams, and technical documentation. Support capital project planning and execution for automation and reliability improvements. Manage small to mid-sized electrical and automation projects from concept through completion. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the facility.The Successful Applicant5+ years of experience in industrial, process, chemical, or manufacturing automation. Strong knowledge of PLCs, control systems, industrial electrical equipment, and instrumentation. Experience implementing and integrating automation equipment into existing production operations. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and controls issues in a live manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards and regulated production settings. Experience with HMI and SCADA platforms such as Ignition or FactoryTalk is preferred. Knowledge of electrical codes, hazardous area classifications, and industrial safety requirements. Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. A hands-on, proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence. Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships across engineering, maintenance, and operations functions.What's on OfferCompetitive salary range of $110,000-$130,000.
