Imagine a role where you follow clear work instructions, reach for a familiar wrench or heat gun, and bring components together with precision. As a Manufacturing Build Technician, you’ll assemble, disassemble, and repair designated products while partnering with a tight-knit team that values safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
What will I do?
- Use hand/power tools and production equipment to assemble fundamental components exactly to spec.
- Complete entry-level product builds that meet quality, throughput, efficiency, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with teammates on expedited orders, component quality questions, and inventory record updates.
- Work safely—follow procedures and recommend improvements.
- Keep the work area organized and clean.
- Update records accurately in our Manufacturing Execution software.
- Contribute to team goals and support other duties as assigned.
How will I be successful?
- High School Diploma or GED (1+ year relevant experience preferred).
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with assembly tools.
- Ability to prioritize with a strong sense of urgency to meet customer expectations.
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality standards.
Where will I work?
- Primarily indoors with shelter from weather; some work near open bays with changing conditions and temperatures.
- Distribution and Valve areas may include intermittent high noise and vibration from engine noise, air compressors, and air-powered equipment; hearing protection should be used.
- Potential hazards include moving mechanical parts/equipment, heavy parts, electrical shock, compressed air, and chemical exposure.
- Typical tools/equipment: air power tools, electric drill, drill press, crimping machines, grinders (hand and bench), wrenches, heat guns, lathe, torches, welders, assorted hand tools, mills, and electric cords. Valve: CNC.
What physical capabilities are needed?
- Lift up to 70 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 25 lbs on a regular basis.
- Focus steadily to complete tasks correctly every time.
- Lift from floor to above-shoulder height and move items between areas/levels.
- Strong hand–eye coordination; stand or sit for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Reach, handle, grasp, turn, and pull tools, wrenches, parts, and equipment.
- Fine motor dexterity for picking/pinching and fingertip work; use touch to sense size, shape, temperature, or texture.
