Manufacturing Cell Operations Supervisor
Picture the start of your shift: you walk the floor, greet your Team Leader and Production Associates, and kick off a focused stand-up. You align people to the day’s output, quality, and safety goals, then make your rounds to confirm set-ups and changeovers are tight and efficient. When a quality concern triggers a Q-stop, you escalate along the value stream and rally maintenance, materials, and quality to resolve it quickly—so the build plan stays on track.
What you’ll own day-to-day
- Provide visible leadership—coaching, counseling, and, when needed, disciplined follow-through—to drive a culture of excellence across assigned cells and work areas.
- Organize and direct associates each shift to meet production output, quality standards, and safety commitments.
- Complete shift-end reports and required documentation on time and with accuracy.
- Maintain an OSHA-compliant, clean, orderly workspace and champion 5S behaviors.
- Ensure adherence to QS 9000, TS 16949, and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Initiate and manage escalations for safety issues, Q-stop events, equipment downtime, material shortages, and maintenance needs—following the defined escalation path.
- Coordinate closely with the Team Leader to make sure materials are ordered to prevent interruptions; step in to order materials as the Team Leader’s backup.
- Verify that all set-ups and changeovers are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Support training initiatives and help grow team capability.
- Partner with plant staff to advance CIP (Continuous Improvement) throughout the facility.
- Deliver the shift build plan and adjust tactically to changing priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
