A Day in the Life
You kick off the day by rallying a group of 8–12 skilled team members for a crisp safety and quality huddle. You outline production targets, confirm PPE, and align on priorities. As the shift runs, you’re coaching in the moment, updating KPIs and Hour by Hour Boards, and removing roadblocks. You spot a process snag, escalate it to the Group Leader (Supervisor), and capture an improvement idea from the team. Before handoff, you close with a 5S Audit, log Dupont Stop Observations, and sync with other Team Leads to ensure a smooth transition.
What You’ll Own
- Onboard and train new team members; be the go-to resource for new additions to the area.
- Facilitate daily pre-shift updates covering safety, quality, HR items, and production goals.
- Champion safety: verify procedure adherence and secure proper PPE when needed.
- Foster continuous improvement; collaborate to surface and drive better ways of working.
- Escalate production issues or systemic hurdles to the Group Leader quickly and clearly.
- Maintain cross-shift communication with fellow Team Leads and Leaders.
- Update and track area/zone Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and related metrics.
- Create, maintain, and audit Team Member Standard Work to ensure consistency.
- Complete Hour by Hour Boards, 5S Audits, Dupont Stop Observations, and work stacks.
- Coach through conflict and support resolution with guidance from Group and Area Leaders.
- Utilize SAP to aid and streamline the manufacturing process.
- Pitch in on other duties as needed to meet goals.
Shifts Available
- 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM Overtime (as needed): Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM (8 hours)
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM Overtime (as needed): Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM (8 hours)
- 3rd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM Overtime (as needed): Friday, 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM (8 hours)
- Weekend Days: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM Overtime (as needed): Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM (8 hours)
- Weekend Nights: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM Overtime (as needed): Monday - Thursday, 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM (8 hours)
What You Bring
- Experience leading others in a work or volunteer setting.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (preferred).
- People-first, servant-leadership mindset; you elevate those around you.
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical and Screening Requirements
- Standing long period, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending
- Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
- Compliance:Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check
