The Vehicle Manufacturing Controls team is expanding its scope to include the electrical design and the management of electrical equipment fabrication, installation, and commissioning for new manufacturing lines to support the overall mission of building a world of amazing abundance.  You will work closely with internal stakeholders (infrastructure, equipment design team, process design team, automation, purchasing, and program management), external contractors, and vendors to deliver an integrated manufacturing solution. EPLAN experience is important in this role.

  • Review line layout concepts to finalize electrical scopp
  • Transform concept layouts / designs into fabrication & installation drawings
  • Utilize EPLAN for design and development
  • Review electrical drawings and calculate power loads
  • Design and implement equipment safety as per international and local codes and standards
  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage all electrical installation and commissioning activities
  • Support internal and third parties to obtain required permits
  • Perform acceptance tests and equipment buy-offs
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering desired
  • Proficiency in designing electrical controls and power distribution systems in EPLAN P8
  • Proficiency in field network topologies and control systems
  • Knowledge in electrical designs for different regions including NFPA standards or equivalent
  • Proven experience in large scale construction management; multi-trade with demanding timelines
  • Site safety management with respect to electrical installations (LOTO, commissioning procedures)
  • Experience creating and maintaining project documentation, drawings, reports, permits, etc.
