Shape the Night: Keep Advanced Manufacturing Running

Imagine clocking in at 7 PM, walking the floor of one of the industry’s most advanced single-campus wire and cable operations, and being the person everyone counts on to keep production humming. As our Manufacturing Controls Electrician, you’ll diagnose, repair, and optimize the electro-mechanical heart of the plant—so essential power, data, and connectivity products keep moving out the door.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Starting pay: $30 - $40/hr base, plus $2/hr night shift differential
  • Schedule: Night shift (7 PM – 7 AM) on a rotating 2-2-3 pattern
  • Rotation details: Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days; reverse the following week

A Night in the Role

You’ll answer line calls, trace faults through PLC logic, replace a VFD that’s throwing alarms, track down a stubborn pneumatic leak, and bring a machine back online safely—always aligning with company procedures and OSHA guidelines. You’ll log maintenance data, share insights with teammates, and set up equipment for reliable start-up, changeover, and shutdown.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems (PLCs, NC/CNC controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment)
  • Apply deep knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles, create/interpret specs, and work to local and national electrical codes
  • Install, commission, and shut down equipment following company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements
  • Document performance and preventive/corrective maintenance for assigned assets
  • Support additional maintenance tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Two-year technical degree, accredited apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training (required)
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience across electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with proven proficiency
  • Strong command of electrical/electronic components and diagnostic instruments
  • Comfort working at height, under equipment, and in tight spaces for analysis and repair
  • Regular exposure to high-voltage systems
  • Able to push, pull, and lift heavy parts/components with or without assistance
