Develop should-cost models and cost targets for mechanical and electrical components.
Apply DFM/DFA and Design-to-Target methodologies.
Perform VA/VE, benchmarking, and teardown analysis.
Support supplier negotiations with should-cost analysis.
Analyze BOMs, CAD models, engineering/manufacturing drawings, and schematics.
Identify cost-reduction opportunities and track product costs.
Present cost updates, risks, and opportunities to management.
Required Skills
Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
7 10 years of relevant industry experience.
BDI, A-priori, or related costing software.
Strong DFM/DFA and VA/VE knowledge.
BOM and manufacturing drawing experience.
3D CAD knowledge; Creo preferred.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Up to 10% travel.
