Manufacturing Data & SPC Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Data & SPC Engineer to drive data-driven decision-making within our production operations. This role focuses on developing Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems, analyzing manufacturing data, and improving process performance, quality, and efficiency.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Automation, and IT teams to turn data into actionable insights and support continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

SPC & Process Control

• Implement and maintain SPC systems across production lines

• Monitor key process parameters and identify variation or drift

• Support control plans and proactive response strategies

Data & Analytics

• Develop KPI dashboards and automated reporting tools

• Analyze production, quality, and equipment data

• Establish standardized data collection and reporting processes

Continuous Improvement

• Support root cause analysis using statistical methods

• Partner with engineering teams to improve process performance

• Participate in problem-solving efforts (DMAIC, 8D, etc.)

• Measure effectiveness of corrective actions

Systems & Integration

• Support integration of MES, automation, and quality systems

• Work with IT and Automation teams to improve data accuracy and availability

• Ensure consistency and integrity of manufacturing data

Reporting

• Maintain KPI reporting and performance tracking

• Prepare summaries, trend analysis, and operational insights

• Support business and engineering reviews

What You Bring

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical certification

• 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, SPC, or data analytics

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments

• Strong understanding of SPC and process capability

Preferred:

• Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field

• Experience in automotive or similar industries

• Familiarity with MES systems and manufacturing databases

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools

• Lean / Six Sigma knowledge

• Travel: Up to 10%
