Role: Manufacturing Design ENG
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Role Summary:
Responsible for planning and executing manufacturing activities, supporting process development, validation, and automation projects to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support design of automated work cells, fixturing, and vision systems
- Interpret mechanical and automation system drawings
- Collaborate on automation system qualification and validation
- Document procedures, results, and improvement recommendations
- Maintain equipment, software, and documentation
- Assist in developing automation hardware/software solutions
- Train technicians and operators on processes and equipment
- Use power tools and measurement instruments effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years in manufacturing/production/automation (automotive preferred)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience in design, build, and validation
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of CREO / Pro-E / CAD tools
- Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
