Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer plays a critical role on the integrated design team by ensuring that all mechanical designs meet demanding mission requirements. This position focuses on analyzing, designing, and modeling product enhancements for existing programs while also supporting conceptual designs for new initiatives. The engineer creates practical and compliant equipment designs, collaborates closely with production and testing teams, and prepares clear technical documentation and proposals.

Work Environment
The Mechanical Design Engineer works in a mixed office and shop-floor environment, splitting time between CAD and 3D modeling workstations and the production floor, especially during first-time builds. The role involves regular use of Creo, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools to create and refine mechanical designs, with close collaboration alongside production and testing teams. The engineer participates in build activities on the shop floor to support manufacturing and ensure designs are practical and manufacturable. The environment emphasizes precision, safety, and teamwork, with a strong focus on delivering reliable and compliant equipment design

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mossville, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $43.27/hr.
