A Manufacturing Documentation professional, you’ll turn how we build products into clear, usable work instructions that help our teams produce high-quality wire and cable assemblies safely and consistently. You’ll partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality, spending time on the shop floor to capture equipment setups, tooling details, measurements, and photos—then translating that information into documentation operators can rely on every day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions using standardized templates and document control practices.

Track revisions and ensure the latest instructions are available and used on the shop floor.

Work directly with equipment operators and technicians to capture setup details, equipment settings, and tooling information.

Take and organize photos, measurements, and key process data to build clear, step-by-step instructions.

Create new instructions and update existing ones for new equipment, process changes, and product variations.

Align documentation to engineering drawings/specifications and quality requirements.

Uses tools such as a camera and basic measurement instruments (e.g. calipers, micrometers, protractors, OD tapes, etc.) to document processes accurately

Build visual references for tooling and setups so operators can repeat processes reliably.

Gather feedback from operators and update instructions to improve clarity, accuracy, and usability.

Identify potential process or tooling improvements and communicate observations to Engineering and Quality.

Help train and support manufacturing team members on how to use and interpret work instructions.

Maintain “known problems” information and incorporate learnings into related instructions when applicable.

Escalate safety concerns, process issues, or design discrepancies for timely review and resolution.

Support document control activities in our ERP system (IFS) by maintaining controlled documents and related process instructions.

Participate in lean/continuous improvement efforts and support other manufacturing priorities as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no direct supervisory responsibility but may involve providing technical guidance and training to all levels of manufacturing personnel.
