Shape a Safer Future at Twin Rivers Technologies
At Twin Rivers Technologies in Quincy, MA, you’ll be the on-the-floor safety champion who turns policies into daily practice. Reporting to the Safety Manager, the Manufacturing EHS Compliance Specialist promotes a proactive safety culture, implements programs that reduce risk, and ensures alignment with local, state, and federal requirements along with Twin Rivers Technologies’ own safety standards. You’ll partner with employees, contractors, and site visitors to resolve safety concerns and uphold compliance.
A Day in the Life
- Walk the manufacturing areas to identify hazards, coach safe behaviors, and verify that environmental and safety precautions are followed.
- Deliver instructor-led training on core programs: lockout/tagout, line break, hazard communication, and confined space.
- Conduct new-hire and contractor safety orientations to set clear expectations from day one.
- Facilitate monthly Safety Action Team meetings and drive follow-through.
- Investigate near misses and injuries, determine root causes, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Administer the LITMOS portal to assign courses, track completions, and maintain training records.
- Lead safety audits, document noncompliance, and oversee timely corrective action closure.
- Review SOPs and policies to confirm OSHA compliance and alignment with general industry standards; support adherence to EPA, MassDEP, and applicable local EHS regulations.
- Assist with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) reviews to strengthen task-level risk controls.
- Create One Point Lessons and Safety Alerts that translate learning into everyday practice.
- Monitor Benchmark to review Behavior Observational Surveys (BOS) and Near Misses, and turn insights into action.
- Perform other duties as needed to advance a strong safety culture.
What You Bring
- BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience conducting safety audits and leading safety meetings.
- Proven ability to design and execute engaging safety programs that build a safe work culture.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MassDEP, and relevant local EHS regulations.
- Experience investigating near misses and injuries and driving corrective actions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead projects, teams, and corrective action efforts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Travel
Infrequent; may be required for training.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This is an active, plant-based role. You will regularly talk and hear, frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger/handle/feel, and reach with hands and arms. Expect frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during the day. You may lift and move items over 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. You must wear required PPE at all times, work in confined spaces as needed, and climb refinery towers and storage tanks using tall ladders.
