A leading U.S. manufacturer supporting critical infrastructure and commercial construction markets is seeking a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer to support multiple production facilities across the country. This role is responsible for improving equipment reliability, supporting industrial automation systems, and leading electrical and controls-related projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, PLC controls, power distribution systems, and capital improvement projects while partnering with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams across multiple sites.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems for manufacturing equipment and production lines.Support automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and industrial controls.Develop and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.Partner with maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment uptime and reliability.Support commissioning of new equipment, plant upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.Analyze production and equipment performance data to identify efficiency improvements.Assist with electrical component procurement and inventory management.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, quality, maintenance, and operations teams on manufacturing projects.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial automation, or plant engineering environments.Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, power distribution, and automation equipment.Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, preferably Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens platforms.Familiarity with VFDs, servo systems, industrial networking, instrumentation, and control systems.Ability to read and create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and other applicable safety standards.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.Travel RequirementsThis role requires approximately 60%–70% travel to manufacturing facilities located throughout the United States, including frequent air travel.
