Manufacturing Electrical Maintenance Technologist

Location: Florence, Kentucky

Compensation: $34.50–$37.00/hour starting pay

Shift: Nights, 7 PM–7 AM; rotating schedule with every other weekend off

Purpose of the role

Own plant-wide electrical reliability. From wiring and upgrades to emergency response, you will keep production moving, equipment protected, and quality uncompromised.

Core impact areas

  • Safety leadership: perform every job safely; immediately correct/report hazards; follow all federal, state, local, corporate, and plant electrical safety requirements; and meet all PPE rules (steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and hair/beard nets as required).
  • Quality stewardship: maintain established quality standards during all tasks.
  • Troubleshooting excellence: review electrical malfunctions, determine causes, and implement solutions.
  • Plant responsiveness: monitor the radio and respond to calls; execute emergency repairs rapidly to minimize downtime.
  • Technical execution: calculate voltage, resistance, and other values; define dimensions and methods for machinery wiring; manage electrical wiring, repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Reliability focus: monitor equipment and facilities to identify and prevent potential issues; keep timers and counters working properly.
  • Asset care: repair and monitor air valves, motors, and machine parts; replace lighting; remain familiar with all plant electrical equipment.
  • Readiness: collaborate with the Storeroom Supervisor to ensure repair materials are available.
  • Preparedness: serve as Emergency Action Support.
  • Documentation: maintain accurate records of all completed work.

Background you bring

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of electrical experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Appropriate electrical education/training and ability to pass the NOCTI.
  • Basic reading, math, and communication skills.
