Description (Second Shift)You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Sensor Integration and Test Center.What You Will Be DoingThe Manufacturing Engineer transforms complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into clear, comprehensive work instructions for mechanics and assemblers on the production floor. You will enhance and streamline production processes using advanced technologies and automation, troubleshoot technical challenges, and drive development of innovative processes for a diverse range of products. Additional job functions include root cause analysis (RCCA), Lean Six Sigma improvement efforts, and development of process improvements to lower cost, increase quality, and deliver a better, repeatable product faster. The position requires over one year of professional experience.Basic QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.Must be able to work second shift.Ability to obtain a government security clearance; must be a US citizen.1–3 years of related experience in a production or manufacturing environment.Desired SkillsPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel).CREO/ProE experience focused on tooling and taking a concept through to final design and fabrication.Experience troubleshooting problems and developing solutions.Experience in process development and automation.Knowledge of optical manufacturing processes (optical bonding, optical centering, interferometers).Experience writing technical work instructions.Familiarity with equipment such as interferometers, lens centering machines, pneumatic dispensing machines, plasma cleaning machines, and cobots.Ability to work in a cross-functional, teaming environment.Knowledge of GD&T.Experience with SAP.Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing concepts and techniques.Security ClearanceThis position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretSchedule for this Position4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.Equal Opportunity StatementLockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
