Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (On-site)

Role Overview

This position supports manufacturing engineering activities and production operations for aerospace initiatives. The role involves leading and implementing manufacturing plans, participating in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and resolving technical problems. This is a non-managerial, non-leadership position focused on hands-on engineering contributions within a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement manufacturing plans to support production goals.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
• Develop and implement manufacturing plans and illustrations to define and document as-built configurations.
• Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.
• Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements.
• Analyze design and build concepts to evaluate producible build definitions.
• Resolve technical problems that impact performance, cost, or schedule.
• Validate and ensure the production readiness of solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
• Implement lean principles and technologies to improve efficiency.
• Support production testing, electrical subsystems, aircraft interiors, and other aircraft systems.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.

Experience: At least 5 years of engineering experience related to aerospace value stream activity, production testing, electrical subsystems, aircraft interiors, or other aircraft systems. Experience must include the development and implementation of manufacturing or build plans.

Technical Skills: Manufacturing Engineering, Production Planning, Aerospace Manufacturing Processes, Producibility Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, and experience with electrical systems and aircraft interiors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial airplane systems, build plans, and electrical installations.
• Direct ownership of value stream build plans.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Authorization

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements. A "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. A "US Person" includes a US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in North Charleston, SC. This role has variable shift availability, with a current need for the 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). Schedules may change based on business and production demands.
