Position: Manufacturing Engineer 2JOB TYPE: W2, Onsite, Full-time contract (12 months)Location: Pontiac, ILSchedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PMCompensation: Up to $39-$42Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations and process improvement efforts within a leading global heavy equipment manufacturer.This role is highly hands‑on and will focus on manufacturing process optimization, troubleshooting, and validation in a fast‑paced industrial environment. You'll work closely with production and quality teams to improve efficiency, validate processes, and support daily operations on the shop floor.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and productivityConduct time studies and evaluate production methods, workflows, and cycle timesTroubleshoot issues directly on the shop floor and support daily operationsInterpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specificationsValidate new processes, prototypes, and production changes (PCNs)Prepare reports, charts, and diagrams to communicate workflow and process improvementsMonitor equipment usage and ensure operations meet quality standardsCollaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues and optimize performanceAnalyze production data and provide recommendations for improvementRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering5–7 years of relevant manufacturing experienceExperience in manufacturing or machining environmentsStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsExperience with process improvement, validation, or production supportStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsExperience with CAD or engineering‑related softwarePreferred QualificationsExperience in heavy manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environmentsBackground in process optimization, time studies, or continuous improvementExperience working closely with shop‑floor operationsWork EnvironmentOnsite manufacturing facility (office + shop floor)70% shop floor, 30% office workHands‑on, fast‑paced production environmentHigh collaboration with production and quality teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
