We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Engineer (Lean Champion) Aerospace industry with metal fabrication.
Location: Corona, CA
Summary
Responsible for improving manufacturing processes, driving Lean initiatives, and optimizing production efficiency, quality, and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures
- Analyze workflows, layouts, and workforce utilization for efficiency
- Conduct product testing, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, suppliers, and vendors
- Maintain manufacturing documentation and systems
- Estimate production time, labor, and costs
Lean Leadership
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives
- Conduct audits and ensure AS9100 compliance
- Train and mentor employees on Lean principles
- Drive continuous improvement projects (cycle time, productivity, inventory)
- Act as a change agent to embed Lean culture
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Lean/Continuous Improvement experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Experience with Lean tools (VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, SMED)
- Basic CAD skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Aerospace industry is a must.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
