The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to develop and drive quality-driven manufacturing systems, processes and equipment for the production of new and existing wire and harness cables.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelops processes for the efficient production of harness systems (discreet harnesses and round cable assemblies) and electro-mechanical assembliesCreates and maintains work instruction to optimize manufacturabilityProblem solves and recommends solutions for internal production issues and customer design issuesLeads engineering efforts to implement new products into productionDesigns and implements tools and fixtures required for effective manufacturingInvestigates, recommends, justifies and implements new equipment purchasesManages process and documentation changes as required by internal and customer-driven engineering changesInterprets drawing packages and internal BOMS, and audits for accuracyProvides expert technical support to production teamsSupports purchasing, quality, test and production departments to ensure product integrity is maintainedPerforms other tasks as assigned by ManagerJob RequirementsBS in Engineering or related field, preferredMinimum 2 years Manufacturing Engineering experienceExperience with cable layup/construction methodsExperience with Electro-mechanical assembliesMold injection experience, strongly preferredBi-lingual Spanish and English, strongly preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent computer skills.
