Our client in Ashland PA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team:
Duties:
- Develop and provide CNC programs for shop floor operations using MasterCam and CREO.
- Maintain existing CNC programs, drawings, routings, and databases, ensuring all documentation is up to date with current revisions.
- Set up and maintain production and computer-controlled manufacturing machines per job specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Create and maintain programming logs, inspection documentation, and operation manuals.
- Quote new machined products, including tooling, gauging, and fixturing, with a goal of 24-hour turnaround on quotes.
- Coordinate DCA information, create and maintain routings for all Machine Shop and Foundry items.
- Enter and manage part numbers, including those for outside special QA requirements and purchased complete items.
- Collaborate with customers' engineering teams to resolve geometry/CAD issues and manage CAD data including STEP and IGES files.
- Model parts using CREO and MasterCam to develop manufacturing toolpaths and programs.
- Develop and document new equipment processes and manufacturing standards.
- Communicate project status and updates in a timely and professional manner.
- Evaluate and implement cost-saving and efficiency-improving initiatives.
- Support company goals by contributing to safety, delivery, quality, production, inventory, and financial performance metrics.
- Lead and execute strategies that ensure operational success and meet/exceed company objectives.
- Prioritize and coordinate cross-shift and interdepartmental projects.
- Ensure alignment with the company"s mission, vision, and policies.
- Promote a strong safety culture by conducting audits, coaching on safe behaviors, and ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
- Provide supervisory support for production operations as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate"s or Bachelor"s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a CNC Machinist; or An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- PLC programming experience is preferred.
- Experience with Mastercam is a plus.
- Familiarity with Fanuc (NC) and Mazak (EIA) controls.
- Ability to make manual code edits and hand-write CNC programs.
- Proficient in reading, editing, and programming G-code.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical drawings to determine dimensions, tooling, and machining parameters.
- Knowledge of design techniques and precision manufacturing processes.
- Skilled in monitoring machine performance and identifying malfunctions.S
