Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA On-siteJob Type: Full-time Department: Production Min Experience: 3 Years Job Description As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, improving, and supporting hand-assembly manufacturing processes for electronic IOT cameras and video products, solar power systems, and mounting solutions to provide documentation and security services for construction sites. This role focuses on process optimization, work instructions, tooling, quality, and throughput while ensuring safe, repeatable, and cost-effective production. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in hand assembly environments, and a track record of driving continuous process efficiency and improvements. Responsibilities Develop and maintain assembly processes for hand-built electronic products, including PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, and final system integration. Lead the quality and reliability team by analyzing field return and customer support data to identify systemic issues and failure modes. Drive cross-functional root cause analysis and prioritize issues based on customer impact and risk. Help determine and validate corrective actions, establish feedback loops into design and production, and drive continuous improvement to enhance product reliability and overall customer experience. Design and implement fixtures, jigs, and tooling to improve quality, productivity, and ergonomics. Identify, collect, and work with the Production Management Team to report on performance and quality metrics to ensure production is operating properly. Help design and configure the production management system to ensure accurate inventory tracking, serial tracking, and operator and floor performance measurement. Support new product introduction (NPI) from prototype through full production. Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, waste reduction, defect reduction, time studies, process analysis, and cost reductions. Create, modify, and implement production floor work cell and warehouse layouts to maximize space usage and efficiency. Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues related to programming, mechanical assembly, and test processes. Work closely with Hardware Engineering, Software Development, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability. Support test process development and integration into production. Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality standards (ISO, IPC, internal procedures). Identify opportunities to reduce product cost, consolidate product offerings, and provide ROI analysis of opportunities. Assist in defining and maintaining manufacturing BOMs and routings and perform BOM audits. Create and update work instructions and visual aids for operators and train operators and technicians on new processes and changes. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure packaging and pallet systems protect product during shipment. Requirements Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. Experience in electronics manufacturing with hand assembly, wiring, enclosure integration, order fulfillment, or receiving processes. Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Experience creating work instructions and process documentation. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods. Ability to work on the production floor in a hands-on role. Bonus Points For Experience supporting low-to-medium volume, high-mix production. Fixture or tooling design experience (SolidWorks or similar CAD tools). Experience with Lean Methodologies. Experience in repair or refurbishment/remanufacturing processes and methodologies. Experience at scale with cleaning tools or equipment. Exposure to ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
