    Description

    About the RoleBase is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to the design and launch of manufacturing lines to produce our cutting edge battery storage systems. In this role you will work with cross functional teams throughout the lifecycle of the product to develop high quality and efficient manufacturing equipment and processes that will produce Base Power's battery storage products.What You'll DoDevelop equipment, fixtures, and processes to support early-stage prototype builds and scale for high-volume productionDetermine and procure necessary equipment for all manufacturing processes, collaborating with integrators to design and manufacture semi-auto to fully automated manufacturing equipmentManage suppliers through specification, design, buyoff, and installation of manufacturing equipmentDesign efficient production workstation layouts to enhance product flow, ergonomics, and efficiency while conducting process analysis, DOE, PFMEA, line balancing, and capacity modeling/simulationProvide DFM (design for manufacturability) input to improve processes and yield outcomesCreate detailed manufacturing instructions and documentation to train technicians, implement new processes, and ensure smooth handoff to production operationsWhat You'll Bring5+ years of experience as a hands‑on Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer working on mechanical and/or electromechanical systemsExperience using 2D cad tools for conceptual line design (AutoCAD) and 3D design for mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling (SolidWorks or CATIA)Experience with conveyance, workstation design, robotic systems, adhesive dispensing, DC fastening tools, or automated functional testingExperience with GD&T and system stack up analysisExperience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipmentExperience providing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Automation (DFA)Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
