This role supports the full lifecycle of precision components—from process development to highvolume production to secure endofline packaging. The ideal candidate is a highly adaptable engineer (“Swiss Army knife” style) with strong handson experience in metal forming environments and the ability to lead complex projects independently. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for metal forming and CNC winding (compression, extension, torsion). Integrate and validate automated packaging technologies, ensuring product protection and consistent quality during shipment. Lead multiphase capital equipment initiatives, including equipment specification, RFQ preparation, vendor selection, and commissioning. Conduct DFM and Design for Packaging reviews to improve cost, efficiency, and throughput. Apply Six Sigma methodologies and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to troubleshoot and resolve formingrelated and packaging quality issues. Design efficient equipment and workspace layouts using AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Provide technical oversight: train junior engineers and operators in equipment setup, process parameters, and automation troubleshooting. Partner crossfunctionally with quality, tooling, operations, and production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in metal forming, spring winding, stamping, or related precision manufacturing processes. Metal forming experience is required (not a fit for hand assembly backgrounds). Strong project leadership experience; able to own technical initiatives from concept to implementation. Experience with packaging processes (manual or automated) is highly beneficial. Industrial engineering exposure (workflow optimization, layout design, lean methodologies) preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or related design tools. Six Sigma and/or formal RCA training is a plus. Longterm potential for leadership responsibilities (not guaranteed but possible).
